You can communicate with your counsellor in three ways:
- Exchanging messages
- Chatting live
- Speaking over the phone
This depends on your needs and varies a lot from one person to another. Some people feel they get most after just a few weeks, while others prefer to stick to the program for an extended period of time.
The length of the counselling will vary from one individual to another, depending upon the nature and severity of the person’s presenting difficulties and goals.
Frequency of appointments depends somewhat on the approach being followed, but often sessions are scheduled one to two times per week.
I recognize, respect and maintain an individual’s rights to privacy and confidentially. However, in situations where there is a threat to self or others, breach of confidentiality may be done.
Your first session will be completely free. A detailed history and your current condition are listened to during the first session to develop a personalized therapy plan.
